The Five Star Youth – Be An Example In Conduct – 1 Timothy 4 verse 12

The body of Christ in literal meaning is another word for Christians, which in reality means to be born into the family of God by the Holy Spirit, through a spiritual process. The body of Christ is made up of several members (parts) with unique and significant functions that performs at its best when it joins with others (the Church). However the church is the coming together of every member of the body of Christ and no one is a member of the body as a result of association, participation, interest or donation but everyone in the body must be born into the body and this is the only starting point for any meaningful or lasting kingdom service else the service receives no eternal value with God. Everyone born into the family of God by the spirit of God share the same spiritual DNA with God and virtues that sustain the body and helps it carry out its function, responsibility, and assignment both effectively and efficiently. There are many who attend, participate, support and attempt to lead the body of Christ who are not yet spiritual members of the body and this is why such activities and engagement tends to function on the strength (talent, skill, education etc) of an individual or more and lacks the spiritual backing and support that helps the body grow and function effectively. Likewise there are members of the body who should be functioning most effectively within the body and through the supply of grace from the head but have trained themselves only to function from the natural and have not exercised themselves to function through the grace and gifts they have been called and therefore do not produce the fruits that abide in the kingdom of God. No one functioning outside the body is a member of the body. For instance, the cloth is good for the body but it is not part of the body, and just because the body cannot do without the the cloths for now does not mean the cloth is a member of the body, however, they may eat, fellowship, and be together most of the time but the body will someday go where the cloth does not belong. Some challenges of leadership and operations the church must deal with is to identify and allow members be positioned in the gift, grace and calling were they were designed to function most effectively.

A Non member of the body leading the bodyis a catastrophic move for the body and

will lead the body to serious and continuous danger when confronted by the enemies of the church, such a leader will lack the tools to function most effectively, will disintegrate the body from its members, will reduce the spiritual functioning of the body, will introduce strange and familiar spirits into the body, will quench the fire of the body, may increase in number, and activities but cannot increase the body (abnormal growth –Elephantiases) in Christ and may eventually lead the body to eternal destruction. What has light got to do with darkness

Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before the LORD, contrary to his command. So fire came out from the presence of the LORDand consumed them, and they died before the LORD. Moses then said to Aaron, “This is what the LORDspoke of when he said:

“ ‘Among those who approach me

I will be proved holy;

in the sight of all the people

I will be honored.’ ” -Leviticus 10: 1-3

What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said:

“I will live with them

and walk among them,

and I will be their God,

and they will be my people.” –2Corinthians 6: 16

A Member of the body of Christ leading non member to function, serve or participate in the body of Christ is to dishonour the body of Christ in an attempt to reduce the cost of service or put up a show before men and this is why many leaders are struggling and do not see the effect of there labour in the body. However the first thing to do is to seek the membership of such members into the body of Christ before

integrating them for service. Many in this circle have been lead away from the will of God to do the will of the majority thereby quenching the fire of the Holy Spirit and sharing the glory of God among themselves. The first attack of the devil will be directed at the spirituality (strength) of the leader in other to weaken (through seduction, gifts, physical action etc) his influence on the majority, This will expose the most vulnerable members of the body the quickest to the attack of the enemy of the church, make it easier for the enemy to plant his members in the body, weary the leader with mundane things, redirect the focus (vision) of the leadership away from the masters plan and eventually destroy the ministry of the leader, and with no reward from the master.

By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation asa wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.

-1 Corinthians 3: 10-14

(Read Exodus 32 also)

Members of the body that lack spiritual leadership will lack direction, purpose and decision, thereby making them the weakest to stand against the adversities of the wicked, lead an assault on the enemy or stand for their faith, and in this case many of her members will begin to scatter into the hands of deceivers, dis tractors whose aim is selfish and to take advantage of the sheep, and some sheep’s may be seriously wounded in the process, lost or destroyed by strange doctrines, familiar and deceptive spirits, miss the voice of the lord and are prone to critical assaults that can only be corrected

under a genuine spiritual leadership. However, it takes a genuine spiritual (mature) Christian to support, assist and restore members who have fallen victim of the enemies assault –it is not the responsibility of just anyone who occupies a position

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” -Matthew 9: 36-38

I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. Therefore doth my Father love me, because Ilay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. -John 10:11-18

(for emphases read John 10:7-10)

It is worthy to note that though God needs labourers but he does not need cheap (non qualified) labourers and God will never reduce His standards in other to fill the vacuum and His church must not. (God will rather raise up stones to worship him, rather than restore  the devil for lack of worshippers).

The church plays a significant part in the formation of the body of Christ to lead and fulfil the agenda of Gods kingdom here on earth which is always at opposite to the

agenda of the enemy and this is why the church must be careful and deliberate about the formation of its members, especially those who serve the body, such that every member who serves or function in the body understands his/her divine responsibility and must have the right response towards such  and it is important for every one who is a part of this body to understand His responsibility.

The equilibrium syndrome

It is common this days to find people in the church who function on the bases of age, gender, status or level such that they find it most difficult to relate outside this equilibrium even when God has prepared a place for them outside there. There are others who attempt to do in the energy of their flesh what others in there suppose equilibrium are doing in the energy of the spirit, based on the assignment, calling and position they occupy in the body. Though we are part and members of the same body we do not necessarily have the same classification. Any attempt to reclassify the functions of any part of thisbody will destabilize the order set by the master and cause serious pain to the body. The body functions at its best where it is best fitted.

We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise. We, however, will not boast beyond proper limits, but will confine our boasting to the sphere of service God himself has assigned to us, a sphere that also includes you.  -2 Corinthians 10:12-13

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. -Ephesians 2:10

The title syndrome –

the Church must be responsibility conscious and not title driven, this is because the church cannot function on the title of one but on the service of the calling. The call to

service is the first consciousness anyone must posses who has been given a position or a title to serve with. However, the kingdom of God is built on service not on titles and everyone will give an account before the master whatever he did with the position he occupies. It is also very dangerous to occupy any position in the body of Christ and not function in the grace of that callings, because this will make you a cheap target of the enemy, to fight a battle you are not prepared for. Likewise, every position in the body of Christ requires a price to sustain it, and not to pay the price is to occupy a position without functioning. Titles without a defined function may hinder the growth and stability of the body, and can cause division whereas active callings fulfil a vision. Therefore no one should have a title (part) in the service to the body without fulfilling its function.

Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to Jesus with her sons and, kneeling down, asked a favor of him.

“What is it you want?” he asked.

She said, “Grant that one of these two sons of mine may sit at your right and the other at your left in your kingdom.”

“You don’t know what you are asking,” Jesus said to them. “Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?”

“We can,” they answered.

Jesus said to them, “You will indeed drink from my cup, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared by my Father.”

When the ten heard about this, they were indignant with the two brothers. Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave—just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” -Matthew 20: 20-28

Then he told this parable: “A man had a fig tree growing in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it but did not find any. So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, ‘For three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’

“ ‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize it. 9If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.’ ”

-Luke 13:6-8

I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building. -1Corinthians 3:6-9

The social status syndrome –

God chooses men for his work on his own terms and selection, men through whom he can deliver the victory and receive the praise, and while it is very important to be an high achiever in life, it is never a basis for divine selection or responsibility in the body of Christ,God has in most cases chosen men to do His work who had very little or no experience to do what he has called them to do he has had to train them from the scratch to do it His way and this is why no one can boast on his/her self but in the grace of our lord. When God begins to choose men and women for his works, his parameters always appear foolish, (God chooses foolish things, but he does not use foolish men) weak and stupid but then is His strength made perfect. He does not depend on the strength of one or the power of the majority to fulfil His purpose but will work through everyone he has chosen who yields to Him. Gods choice always have something the world cannot accept but God can use. God will rather win a race on the strength of a tortoise than

run with the strength of an horse, neither will he deliver victory to a battle led by the strength of an horse. Every one in the service of the Lord must then be careful how they select men for the service of the Lord

(For Emphases Read Judges 7)

Other Examples are

Moses was an orator but had to be taught by God to be an Oracle, –

(Acts 7:22, Exodus 4:10-12)

Paul was a zealous leader but had to be taught the zeal of the lord –

(Philippians 3:4-14)

Esther was a queen but had to be taught to be a deliverer –

(Esther 4)

Christ was God but had to be taught to be a servant –

(Hebrews 2: 10)

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.  -Psalm 20: 7

The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the LORD.

-Proverbs 21:31

Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. -1 Corinthians 1:26-29

But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” -1 Samuel 16:7

Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in. If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to the poorman, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor by my feet,” have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? 7Are theynot the ones who are blaspheming the noble name of him to whom you belong? -James 2:2-7

Understanding the spiritual Formation

What the body of Christ is not

it is not a religious organization

it is not a building

its is not a Jewish or western custom /culture

it is not a political organization (democracy or autocracy)

it is not a family/traditional religion

Its not natural

its not social

its not commercial

its not anything apart from the spiritual body of Christ.

The body of Christ is a spiritual formationof Christ, and Christ is the head of that body and everyone born into the kingdom of God (by confessing Jesus Christ as lord) forms a part of that body. The formation of the body of Christ exist wherever the members gather to fellowship but every member while alone also exist as the body where God dwells in His fullness in other to represent His kingdom and fulfil His purpose wherever you are. Therefore every member of the body of Christ exist to function in the body of Christ and as abody of Christ.

For instance, Everyone created by God has a Unique purpose and destiny from God but no one can exist without a family (either active or passive), therefore you can function as a member of the family you are born into and still function inyour destiny as an individual. You are an individual to many but you are a member in the family. You share your part with your family but you are still complete as an individual before others outside the family. Likewise the church is Gods spiritual family here on earth and Christ is the head of that family and every member is the body.

For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every familyin heaven and on earth derives its name. -Ephesians 3:14 -15

God can only manifest and express his kingdom maximally on the earth  thorough his body and so continually set men in the church in other to fulfil his plan. Therefore God relates with every member of the body as a temple, through whom his plan is fulfilled and so requires every member in part or in full to recognise this operations and posses there body in honour of Him. However, God is limited when His body is weak or unyielding for His use.

God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy. But he makes the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. -Psalm 68:6

for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good

purpose. -Philippians 2:3

You are a templebought with a price, where God dwells in His fullness and wants to be glorified, he holds you accountable for the way you use your body and this is because you can either accommodate him or shut him out of your body by the way you use you body. Your body is the vessel God will fill with His Glory in other to Channel, His love, power, wisdom and grace to the ends of the earth and he expects you to make your body a conducive place for him. Likewise, your body forms a part of the body of Christ through which God is greatly glorified and your part in the body can influence the move and operations of God in the corporate body of Christ. God want to use your body as a vehicle to transport his Kingdom, and he is not pleased when he can only use occasionally what he paid to use permanently. It is important to also note that your body is not your own, however, how you allow God use your body is the degree of the manifestations of God you can add to the body or His glory you can carry.

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple. -1Corinthians 3:16-17

What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said:

“I will live with them

and walk among them,

and I will be their God,

and they will be my people.” –2Corinthians 6: 16

Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God. -2Corinthians 7:1

It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. For God did not callus to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit. -1 Thessalonians 4: 3-8

“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything. You say, “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.” The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.

Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor Godwith your bodies. -1Corinthians 6 :12-20

In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instrumentsfor special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work. -1 Peter 2:20-22

How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! -Hebrews 9: 14 Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.” 2 Timothy 2:19

Your body is also an instrument of worship unto God, and God expects you to continually and consciously offer  yourself to Him in worship. How you present your body will also determine what God can use it for. Among other things that defiles the body for Gods use is to engage in fornication or adultery. Your purity in body is critical to the effectiveness and fruitfulness in ministry.

You have been calledto serve the body of Christ and the purpose of Christ on the earth and this is why you occupy a major position in the body that you must cultivate and protect. You have been called as an individual to live out the life of Christ in you to the uttermost while your calling with other members of the body of Christ in a body is to function and fulfil the calling of God upon that House, family, body or setting where God has positioned you. Gods calling over you is a decision God took for you (from the foundation of the earth) that you cannot reverse or change, and this is why he made you unique from anyone, and though you may function in the midst of an hundred, a thousand or the millions, -but you are still an individual with a unique calling before God,  however your only responsibility is to align yourself with it on time and fulfil it. Your calling in the body of Christ (Church) is not unto a man but unto God, neither does the promotion or reward come from man but God is the re warder and he does not forget your labour in the calling but will continue to lift you in the spirit of that calling and multiply His Grace upon you when your serve him faithfully, therefore fix your eyes and thought on Christ continually in other to fulfil this call. Your calling under God is to serve and seek God privately before you can serve him publicly. This is because your private worship and service of God is the

spiritual engine that drives your calling in the body of Christ effectively because God always reward in open what hesees in the secret.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. Romans 8:28-30

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. -Ephesians 2:10

The word of the LORDcame to me, saying,

“Before I formed you in the womb I knewayou,

before you were born I set you apart;

I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” -Jeremiah 1:4-5

As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him—you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. -1Peter 2:4-5

However it is also very important to note that the plan of Godis to glorify you through the fulfilment of your calling and it doesn’t matter how many members you function with or the recognition you do not get but God is committed to glorify every one in his or her calling. There are so many blessings connected to the calling and as you walk in the path of your calling faithfully, then the manifestation of that glory will be evident. Every calling is designed to bring glory to God and  God is committed to the safety, welfare, provisions, blessings etc of whatever brings glory to God or cause men to glorify Him.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. -Matthew 5:16

“You must serve only the LORD your God. If you do, I will bless you with food and water, and I will protect you from illness. -Exodus 23:25

Though God has called you to function in the body, but he is still the one working through the calling and all he expect from you is intimacy and a yielded vessel. However the calling of God upon your life is your call to ministry, your call is what also defines and determines your classification in ministry and this is were you will function the most and experience your best in your service to God. When God calls men into a ministry he then gives them a specific assignment to function with which means that your assignment under God is your ministry, within or outside the church. This consciousness must be in you if you will ever please God in your walk with him. You are first called into a private ministry (service) to God then in your corporate (Church) worship. Your assignment in corporate worship is to faithfully run with the vision of God for the family (Church) you have been called to serve and this is pleasing to God.

understanding spiritual functioning

The members of the body of Christ can only function through the workings of the Holy Spirit in the body, as the building (the church) belongs to God. God is committed to building his church therefore every member of the body can function in partnership with God. It is however important to note that though some function in the body may sometimes be visible, there is always a side to the building that is not visible to all. However the Holy spirit is the power of God that functions through every calling to build Gods house. Therefore no calling can function without the Holy Spirit Function.

For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.-Hebrews 3:4

God is the owner and builder of His house, the Holy Spirit is the chief builder and we are co-labourers in building this precious house of God and God has trusted us with a part of the work that he cannot do without an needed before the work can be completed. The success of the building of Gods house is also dependent on how we carry out our functions, therefore every part of the building needs to be involved.

As the body without the spirit is dead……..-James 2:26a

… Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. -Psalm 127:1

For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.-Hebrews 3:4

The Holy Spirit is the Channel through which we access all the material we need to function in the body of Christ and he is also the in charge of assigning responsibility to every member of the body. TheHoly Spirit has the master plan of Gods building through which he directs how Gods house (the Church) should be built. Therefore if we are ever going to succeed in fulfilling our part in the project we need to develop a closer walk and intimacy with the Holy Spirit.

There is nothing the church can receive from God without the Holy Spirit and whatever does not come from the Holy spirit will not be supported by God neither will it receive a reward. The Holy Spirit carries out the work that births members into the body and qualify them to serve.

The Holy Spirit Gives Visionfor the specific part that every body of Christ must fulfil and were there is no vision the people perish. Vision is the unfolding or revelation of a divine plan, purpose or pursuit, it is the working of the Holy Spirit to see into the will or mind of God for a people, city, nation, industry, sector etc.

The vision enabled by the Holy Spirit always comes with a responsibility upon you to do something about it. However in a church Setting the vision (as revealed to the leadership ) of God for the family is the responsibility of every member of that family to fulfil. Wherever God forms a body he will always require it be filled with the Holy spirit in other for the body to function at its peak. However the body without the spirit function is dead no matter its size. The spirit is the core I.e the heartbeat of the body and when the heart stops beating then the body starts to die.

“And afterward,

I will pour out my Spirit on all people.

Your sons and daughters will prophesy,

your old men will dream dreams,

your young men will see visions.

Even on my servants, both men and women,

I will pour out my Spirit in those days. -Joel 2: 28

Then the LORDreplied:

“Write down the revelation

and make it plain on tablets

so that a herald may run with it.

For the revelation awaits an appointed time;

it speaks of the end

and will not prove false.

Though it linger, wait for it;

itcwill certainly come

and will not delay. Habakkuk 2:2

The Holy Spirit calls men everywhere to run with a divine vision, and as long as they are faithful to there part God will remain faithful to His part. Gods work can never lack Gods men to run with it. There is always a tendency to do what is common at the expense of what is commanded but God will not commit to his vision in another hand that he has not been committed to him to run with.

The vision of God in a local church is lead by the set man (Pastor) in the house and has been delegated the authority to direct the body in the will of God. Therefore the Holy Spirit will not bypass a responsible leader for divine communication and responsibility for the body causing the body to always abide in the will of God were it functions maximally and receives nourishment regularly.  This Holy spirit is the foundation of the Church and on him will God commit to build His church and not on human wisdom.

Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given ability to all the skilled workers to make everything I have commanded you: Exodus 31:1-5

The Lord gave the word: great was the company ofthose that published it.

-Psalm 68 :11

The vision of God for any body is such that will require the participation of others to fulfil and this is why every worker has been called into the body. God has never completed anything on the strength of one man, and were men are lacking to run with the vision, the the vision may be dormant but not dead. The enemy is never after

the vision because he knows he can do nothing about whatever is born of God but he his aggressively against men who will run with the vision. The vision of God is a seed that has been planted and God will continually raise men who will water the seed then He can give the harvest. God will reward every man for his part in the vision.

The Holy Spirit gives grace to every member to function in the body such that every man God has called to run with a vision functions with the grace of the calling that the holy spirit supplies.

Then the LORDsaid to Moses, “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills—to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts. -Exodus 31: 1-5

The grace that the Holy spirit supplies is the ability of God at work in the carrier, in other to benefit the members of the body. The grace of God is the power of the calling without which the calling is weak. Though the same Spirit works in the body but he does not work the same way in everyone and every one must recognise and appreciate the grace of God personally and upon others though it differs.

But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.

Ephesians 4:7

For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. -Romans 12:4-6a

The grace of God is also supplied through every member of the body as every part does its work causing the growth of one and other. This means that the working of grace upon you differs to supply nutrient to other part of the body while the grace on every other part nourishes you. It is important for every part to function in a body so as to benefit from the flow of grace in that body, likewise your function in the body also blesses every other part of the body with the grace you supply. This is what brings for growth and strength in the body, because the body is not a one man show, and though every function is not necessarily visible but every function contributes to the working of every part, growth of the bodyand the fulfilment of the divine vision. The body of Christ is one for all and all for one.

Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. -Ephesians 4:15-16

If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.

Now you are thebody of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

1 Corinthians 12:26-27

The grace of the Holy Spirit supplies through the parts and body also multiplies and increase with correct use, and this means that God is committed to give more grace were moregrace is needed, but the grace of God unused becomes dormant, passive, less effective and unproductive.

Then he told this parable: “A man had a fig tree growing in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it but did not find any. So he said to theman who took care of the

vineyard, ‘For three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’

“ ‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize it. If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.’ ”

-Luke 13:6-8

“God opposes the proud

but shows favor to the humble.”

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. -1 Peter 5: 5-6

It is important to not that God expects results for every grace he has given and he will continually check to see how you have utilised this grace, the effect of this may be a promotion or a replacement. Never forget that God alwayshave reserves and he is never stranded, and whenever or wherever someone is messing up, God has someone warming up. Never receive the grace of God in vain or take it for granted.

David replaced Saul

Barnabas replaced Judas Iscariot

Jesus replaced Adam

Esther replaced vashi

God had seven thousand men warming up who can replace Elijah

and many more

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. -1 Peter 4: 10

Two are better than one,

because they have a good return for their labor:

If either of them falls down,

one can help the other up.

But pity anyone who falls

and has no one to help them up.

Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.

But how can one keep warm alone?

Though one may be overpowered,

two can defend themselves.

A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. -Ecclesiastics 4: 9-12

The body of Christ is His church and he has joined every part in the church to form the body, and God is committed to building His church. However Christ is the head of the body to which every part is a member of the body. Though God has laid the foundation of the church which is Christ, he now continually builds the church with the materials of every member of the body through the calling, grace and gifts he has given to the body.  This means that every member of the body is a major part of  Gods building and those who labour to function in the grace they have been called also partner with God to buildHis body. Every member of the body is a living stonethat God uses to build his edifice, however what you present to God is the material you are given to God to build with and to use either unto honour or dishonour.

Every member of the body of Christ hasbeen called to function in the body and every function in the body is a call to ministry which may differ to another. Likewise your assignment in the body of Christ is your function in the body. The primary plan of the enemy is to hinder the body and pollute the parts thereby spreading pollution to every other part of the body, but you have the responsibility to protect/ guard your part in the calling from every pollution.

Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us. -2 Timothy 1:14

Christ is the head of the Church but he has set gifts and callings in the body to oversee

and lead his work here on earth. Therefore we must all submit to the Spirit of the Lord and allow His Set men/women lead the body in meekness to fulfil the vision of God for the House. God will hold everyone accountable who hinder His work in the body and cause others to stumble.

If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.-Matthew 3:25

He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. -Ephesians 4: 10 –13

The devil is the enemy of the body and we must not let him sow discord in the body in other to penetrate into the body, for when the body functions in unity it receives the supply of grace to every part of the body to stand in the time of challenge. The enemy is weak when we are stronger and he his strong when we are weak. Therefore we must determine to continually exercise ourselves in the grace of God and provoke one another to love, for love is the greatest, with which we cover the multitude of sin and show all men that we are the disciples of Christ our lord. Regardless of what the situation may be the unity of the body is more important than the offence of one.  There may be some who are are part of the body that may seem weak and so susceptible to fall therefore giving the enemy an access into the body but every part must work its part to supply grace to the weak.

Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. -Galatians 6:1

The church is Gods precious treasure that he is preparing for himself unto eternity, therefore let every one be careful to discern the Lords body for the one who keeps and watches is a jealous over his body. It is therefore appropriate to always discern the lords body that you are and you are a part of. God took it personal when His body was persecuted (He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”  -Acts 9:4)as an example to us to know how he cares for his body and everything done to his body will not go unrewarded.

You are blessed.
